Ireland

The Republic of Ireland is part of a wider, island-wide gospel movement — despite the region's reputation as increasingly secular, our national partner CCI serves both Northern Ireland and the Republic under one shared vision, and is confident the island “is not losing its faith.” Building on a strong CCI–AGWM history of partnership, CCI is pursuing an ambitious church-planting vision: to become “a leading catalyst for Church expansion” throughout Ireland and beyond, with current priorities in church planting, kids' ministry, creative arts, and worship. Perhaps most significantly, Irish national leaders are now beginning to dream about sending out their own global workers — a sign the Irish church, north and south, is moving from receiving mission to participating in it.

Current # of Workers

We currently have 12 workers (6 units) serving across Ireland.

Receiving capacity

Working with our national partners, we could receive 10+ workers with ministry experience today and connect them directly with local churches. Over time, they could partner strategically to plant new churches in more than 20 towns and communities across all the provinces of Ireland — each one already identified by our national partner as a strategic church-planting priority.

Current # of Churches

There are currently about 40 churches in Ireland, part of a total of more than 60 churches with CCI, our national partner across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Target # of Churches by 2033

The goal is to plant new churches each year, with an ambitious goal of reaching a total of 150 churches by 2035. Across the CCI movement (Ireland and Northern Ireland combined), 5 new church plants are currently underway in 2026.
