Iceland
Iceland is part of a close-knit Nordic Pentecostal family. The five Nordic movements — Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland — work closely together, including efforts to grow and equip the next generation of young leaders across the region.
Despite its small size, the national church has real openness toward receiving workers, particularly to help grow its campground ministry, which serves as a hub for the national movement.

Receiving capacity
Our relationship with Iceland's national partner is strong, and the national church continues to express real openness to receiving new workers.
Given both the current opportunities available and Iceland's very high cost of living, we expect this to be a slower, more intentional process than in some of our other Nordic countries — but the door remains genuinely open and the needs in Iceland are many.
Current # of Churches
There are approximately 10 Pentecostal churches currently active in Iceland, with roughly 2,000 members nationally.
Target # of Churches by 2033
Currently, we don't have any projections for a target number for 2033, but we are hopeful that at least 2 new works could be serving by 2033.

Current projects & amount needed to fund
Our national partner's campground is nearing completion and serves as a focal gathering point for Iceland's Pentecostal movement, hosting camps and events for the whole national church. US church teams have assisted with construction in the past, and teams remain welcome for future involvement. $25,000 would greatly assist the campground's final phase of development.
