Italy

Existing churches need to be strengthened and to become planters of churches. Immigrant and refugee ministry must take root in their communities and make a gospel-difference in the lives of the people they reach. New church plants must reach Italians with the gospel. Consistent, effective ministry to university students on campus across the country needs to begin, as presently there are none. We are praying for 40 total missionaries to Italy to lose themselves for the gospel in one of these areas.

AGWM workers are planting and pastoring churches in Florence, Genoa, Sicily, Milan, Naples, Padova and Rome. Each of these can put $5,000 to $10,000 to use in the ongoing ministries and planting efforts of their respective places. Outreach to immigrants and refugees in Bari is a new ministry that is growing in scope and influence ($5,000). A community center-style outreach to children starts this fall in partnership with a local Italian church ($5,000).
