sweden
Sweden is widely regarded as one of the most secular countries in the world, and Stockholm carries some of the deepest spiritual need in the region. We're grateful for genuinely positive relationships and opportunities with Pingst, even as its many congregations tend to operate independently by nature.
As more workers answer the call to Sweden, the door for fruitful growth and lasting impact is significant — particularly in university ministry, a historic area of strength with great, still-untapped potential for the years ahead.
Current # of Workers
We currently have 6 workers serving in Sweden, engaged in an international church plant in Stockholm and in ministry alongside a strong network of churches in the capital region.

Receiving capacity
Sweden's national Pentecostal movement, Pingst, recently welcomed new national leadership and continues to show real momentum and unity among its pastors.
Specific opportunities include partnering with a large multi-site church network in the capital region and even hosting students who want to study in Sweden as a ministry pathway.
University ministry has long been a fruitful area of partnership in Sweden and remains a significant, largely untapped opportunity for future workers.
We could receive 4+ workers today and connect them directly with local church ministries and opportunities, and even more students willing to study in Sweden.
Current # of Churches
Pingst, our national partner, is the Nordic’s largest national partner network, with approximately 430 congregations across Sweden.
Target # of Churches by 2033
There currently isn't a specific target for new churches by 2033, but Sweden is actively strengthening its churches and could conceivably plant another 50+ churches by 2033.

Current projects & amount needed to fund
We don't have a specific project identified at this time, but we anticipate a new church plant in Stockholm requiring funding beginning in 2027. We welcome early conversations with churches or partners who want to be part of that church plant when it comes.
