Norway
Norway's national Pentecostal movement is lean and pastor-driven, with a genuine desire for authentic partnership rather than dependency. New workers are welcomed as people willing to serve alongside bi-vocational national pastors, not simply fill gaps in a program.
Our vision is to plant international, English-speaking churches in the strategic cities above, walking closely alongside the national movement's own priorities and pace, which are visionary and strategic.
A vibrant youth ministry culture, open doors for university ministries to develop, and strong leadership have made Norway fertile soil for more workers and an abundant harvest.
It's worth noting that our current church plant in Skien sits in the very city where Norwegian Pentecostalism began, in 1908 — a full-circle reminder that God is still writing this story more than a century later.

We currently have 8 workers (4 units) serving in Norway, engaged in an international, English-speaking church plant based in Skien, with plans underway for a second campus in nearby Porsgrunn. Our workers are also partnering with SALT church in Bergen, which is a multi-site church network that is effectively supporting churches across the country.

Receiving capacity
Norwegian national leadership has directly welcomed workers with a vision to plant 5 international, English-speaking churches in strategic cities across the country — including Oslo, the nation's largest city and a significant hub of need for international ministry, along with Bergen, Stavanger, and Trondheim.
Norway is also home to a growing youth-evangelism movement based in Oslo that trains and mobilizes young leaders across more than 1,100 cities throughout Europe, and has expressed openness to potentially receiving future AGWM workers as well.
Working with our national partners, we could receive 6+ workers today and connect them directly with local church ministries and our growing team in the Skien area or with the SALT church network.
Current # of Churches
There are currently 350 churches across Norway, reflecting a rich history of Pentecostal witness dating back to the movement's first congregation, founded in 1908 — more than 115 years ago.
Target # of Churches by 2033
There currently isn't a specific target for new churches by 2033, but Norway is actively strengthening its churches and could conceivably plant another 50+ churches by 2033.

We don't have a specific project identified at this time, but we anticipate real investment opportunities as new workers arrive to launch the church plants outlined above — particularly the Porsgrunn campus and future plants in Norway's strategic cities. We welcome early conversations with churches or partners who want to be part of that launch when it comes.
